Cyclist killed on Greenstone Drive

It is believed the man was on his way to work when the incident took place.

A cyclist was killed on Greenstone Drive on Wednesday, February 5.

According to reports, the man was struck by a passing vehicle.

Edenvale SAPS station commander Colonel Sudesh Sookraj confirmed to the NEWS that the man was declared dead at the scene.

Edenvale Community Police Forum chairperson, Sheryll Damerall said it is believed the man was on his way to work when the incident took place.

“A police investigation will determine what led to the collision,” she said.

At 12.30pm the Greenstone Drive was still closed to traffic.
