KATLEHONG – On February 27 a helicopter was hovering over Katlehong, while the EMPD Katlehong Precinct officers joined the search for a stolen vehicle. The combined ground units comprising of EMPD officers and the Alstar Tracking company, with the assistance of the eye in the sky, were able to locate the stolen vehicle in Tokoza at around midday.
According to the EMPD, the Toyota Hilux Double-Cab was stolen in Rosherville around 08:00 on the same day and recovered in Mguni Street, Tokoza. The suspects had already fled the scene after causing only minor damages to the dashboard of the recovered vehicle.
The vehicle was then taken to Tokoza police station.
