Maimane heading to parliament

Democratic Alliance (DA) Spokesperson Mmusi Maimane has confirmed he is heading to Parliament.

JOHANNESBURG – Mmusi Maimane is most likely to replace Lindiwe Mazibuko as Parliamentary leader after she announced that she will be leaving to study at Harvard University in the US.

According to Eyewitness News (EWN), “Maimane says he will also still be leading the party in Gauteng.”

EWN quoted Maimane as saying, “We felt that we could serve the people of Gauteng by remaining our constituency here which will be my job and also by taking up my seat in the fifth democratically elected Parliament.”

Earlier today, many were shocked to hear that Mazibuko resigned as DA parliarmentary leader to further her studies at Harvard University.
