Two criminals caught in Brackenhurst

Suspects crash into palisade fence in an attempt to escape

ON Friday July 18 at around 10:25, a domestic worker was attending to her daily activities at a house in Pieter Street, Brackenhurst when someone broke the window in the lounge.

The domestic worker immediately locked herself in a room and pressed the panic button, informing her employer of the incident, uncertain about what would happen next.

Fox Security Armed responded to the panic button. On arrival at the house in Pieter Street, the armed response unit spotted a blue vehicle reverse parked into the premises and called for assistance.

The blue vehicle pulled off from the premises, still with the back door of the vehicle open, and two suspects fled the scene. Three Fox Security armed response vehicles chased the blue vehicle towards Roy Campbell Street.

At the corner of Roy Campbell and Theresa streets, the blue vehicle crashed into a palisade fence. The two suspects were arrested and detained at Brackendowns SAPS for housebreaking and theft.
