Petrol bombing suspect caught

The male attacker who doused Jenny van Tonder and her car with petrol and set it alight has been arrested.

ALBERTON –  The suspect that doused Jennifer van Tonder’s car with petrol and set it alight has been caught.

His capture is thanks to the pro-active work of SOG security.

An unmarked vehicle was patrolling areas that the suspect has been known to frequent.

He noticed someone who fits the description of the attacker on the corner of Voortrekker Road and Splits Street. He approached the male and asked him his name. He gave his real name and has now been arrested.

Jennifer van Tonder, a resident of South Crest,was attacked on July 24. She has been hospitalised with severe burns after the attack.
