Video: Trucks cause traffic pile up on N12

Two heavy-duty trucks were involved in a crash on the N12 highway in Alberton this morning, causing a traffic pile-up.

It was alleged the crash occurred after the tyre of one of the trucks burst, Witbank News reported.

The driver allegedly slowed to pull up when another truck crashed into him.

Langamed Emergency Management paramedics said when they arrived on the scene they found the entire roof of one of the trucks smashed.

“It looks much worse than it is,” said a bystander on the scene.

Both truck drivers were reportedly unharmed after the incident.

Earlier this year Johannesburg witnessed a horrific accident which claimed the lives of four.

On that occasion, a 50 vehicle pileup left at least 47 injured.
