The gift of life, this Christmas

Thirteen babies from three different hospitals in Ekurhuleni were welcomed by friends, families and the MMC for Health and Social Services at Christmas.

ALBERTON – The Member of Mayoral Committee (MMC) for Health and Social Services, Cllr Makhosazana Mabaso visited Natalspruit Hospital in Vosloorus, Bertha Gxowa Hospital, Germiston and Tambo Memorial Hospital in Boksburg to welcome the Christmas babies, bringing along goodies for the bundles of joy.

New born babies from the three hospitals received their first gifts from the City of Ekurhuleni. The gift packs included Ekurhuleni branded bathtubs, baby blankets and baby products. Speaking to their mothers, the Cllr Mabaso said: “I wish the children good health and those who are not with their mothers to get better soon so they can be reconnected with their families.”

She further urged the mothers to breastfeed their babies and take good care of their children.
