Lights left on in Randhart

Energy conservation is on everyone’s mind, and when residents noticed the street lights burning through the day in Beril Street, Randhart they did a public service by bringing it to the attention of the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality.

The EMM released a statement that the lights were repaired on Friday, February 13.

The street lights were on during the day due to a faulty photo cell controlling them, according to Themba Gadebe, EMM spokesperson. The photo cell has since been replaced.

Anyone who sees similar problems is urged to contact the EMM Helpline on 086 054 3000 to report it.
