Ahead of the Ekurhuleni State of the City Address, the Democratic Alliance preempted the ruling party’s perspective with a press conference in Makause, Germiston. The opposition presented their version of the condition of the city of Ekurhuleni.
The public was addressed by DA caucus leader, Cllr Fortune Mahano; Shadow MMC for Community Safety, Mary Goby; Shadow MMC for Finance, Eddie Taylor, and Gauteng provincial leader John Moodey.
Service delivery seemed to be a principal topic for the rival party with the subjects of solid waste, recycling, water wastage, infrastructure, repairs and maintenance being raised.
Financial mismanagement and job creation also came up as priorities for the DA.
