EDEN PARK – Khanyisile Phiri, a grade three learner from Eden Park Primary School, is a maths wonder girl.
On August 12 she obtained a second place in the Ekurhuleni District Mental Maths Challenge held at Umtholo Primary School.
First position was taken by Nelly Mbungu of Greenfields Primary School and third position by Lungisani Primary School’s Rethabili Tsotetsi.
“We are very proud of Khanyisile’s achievement. She will be going to the district challenge in September and we are all looking forward to the challenge. She improves daily,” said Mrs KS Ntlatseng, the head maths teacher.
