Figures’ fast and furious weekend

Alberton Figures Modelling and Talent Agency had a busy weekend with representatives recruiting and competing on Saturday and Sunday.

ALBERTON – The weekend of September 5 and 6 was an eventful one for the Figures Modelling and Talent Agency.

Saturday was spent at Alberton High School’s 40th birthday bash recruiting new students to the agency and hosting a pop-a-balloon competition. Figures Alberton spokesperson, Emma Griffin, expressed her sincere thanks to all the parents, staff and students who assisted on Saturday.

On Sunday the Face of the Year competition for boys aged 13 and older was held at the Roodepoort Youth Centre. 103 boys participated in the national competition. Figures Glenvista dancer and model, Sherwin Roman, won the overall title and R10 000 in cash. Alberton Figures Model and Talent Agency boys distinguished themselves by being selected as finalists after only two weeks of modelling experience.

Griffin stated that the next big event for Alberton Figures is the International Modelling and Talent Association (IMTA) talent search on October 3 at Alberton City. One representative competing in the fields of acting, singing, dancing or modelling could win an all-expenses paid trip to New York in July 2016.
