ALBERTON – Three suspected criminals have successfully been convicted for a 2014 house robbery and motor vehicle theft in the Palmridge Magistrate’s Court.

Sergeant Phora Nkuna, a police spokesperson, said Detective Warrant Officer Elvis Mgiba from the Alberton Police Station, secured an eight year conviction for each of the three suspects.

Nkuna said all three suspects were also declared unfit to possess a firearm.

“The suspects committed the crimes in the Alberton area and now the community will be safer as three criminals will be jailed.”
