The Mayor’s message to Grade 12 learners

Ekurhuleni Executive Mayor Mondli Gungubele wished the class of 2015 the best of luck for their exams.

EKURHULENI – Ekurhuleni Executive Mayor, Mondli Gungubele, released a message of support to the Grade 12 students in light of their final exams.

“The matric exams are probably the most crucial and vital examinations you will ever write. They will inevitably determine your lifelong career options,” he said.

The five weeks of exams began on October 26 and the mayor advised students to manage their stress during the exam period and he recommended that students pay attention to time management, study techniques, eat a balanced diet and exercise regularly.

Gungubele also urged matriculants to reflect on their journey and the milestone that the National Senior Certificate represents and wished them luck on behalf of the City of Ekurhuleni.

“Always remember this is not about passing or failing, but rather about working harder to realise your dreams going forward. Should you succeed this time around well done, but should you not never lose hope – pick up the pieces and give it another shot.”
