Former Miss Eden Park in the running for Mrs SA
IT is every girl's dream to be in modelling and the semi-finals of a beauty pageant and, if they can make it all the way to be in the running for the title of Mrs SA, it's like a dream come true.
Avril Dos Santos is one such girl. This former Miss Eden Park has had a passion for modelling and taking part in beauty pageants from a very early age. Her passion and perseverance paid off and, on March 3, at the Cansa Gala, at Emperors Palace, she made the top 100 semi-finalists of the Schwarzkopf Professional Mrs South Africa.
She will now be competing to reach the top 25 finalists, who will be introduced on April 29, at Emperors, when the event will be being televised live on e-tv.
In 2000, while attending school at Eden Park Primary, Avril was crowned Miss Coca-Cola, in 2001 she was crowned Miss Eden Park and, in 2003, she took the Miss Dinamika crown,while attending Hoërskool Dinamika.
“I want to encourage our youth to be the best version of themselves and to work hard to make a difference in their own significant way; we are the leaders of tomorrow and only we can build a better South Africa,” Avril said.
