Man arrested using fake money at a tavern

A man was arrested after attempting to use fake bank note to buy drinks at a local tavern.

EDEN PARK – Eden Park Police arrested on January 21 when buying drinks at a tavern in Fiat Street.

On January 20 he used a false R200 note and the owner never noticed it, but when he came back the following day with a false R100 note, he was arrested.

The man from Toyota Street area was released with a warning. Residents are warned to be on the alert for false R100 and R200 notes.
